Flyers flying with this carrier can soon enjoy quick connectivity onboard at no cost following a recent deal with SpaceX's communications firm.
No-cost and Fast Connectivity Available to Everyone
The carrier stated that this free, “fast and dependable” wifi service through the satellite provider will be offered for customers in coach, premium economy, or premium cabins starting the coming month.
Broad Rollout Over Several Carriers
The umbrella organization for British Airways, IAG, confirmed it had finalized an agreement involving the satellite firm for providing wifi access on more than 500 aircraft within its operators, which also include Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.
Uninterrupted Connectivity starting at Gate through Landing
British Airways noted that the rollout of this system formed part of a seven billion pound “transformation” initiative and would offer uninterrupted internet coverage for flyers starting at boarding to arrival, even when they are flying above oceans or isolated areas.
Passengers will be able to hook up several gadgets and they will not require a unique access code.
“Gamechanging for us as well as our customers, enhancing onboard service during flights with us by giving passengers continuous internet throughout the flight.”

Limited internet service remains available for BA flyers through most of their jets using their .air system.
Members of the airline's reward scheme may transmit texts and plain-text emails in the air free of charge, while flyers wishing to access music, video, and content on their travel who are not travelling in business or first might be charged from £4.99 and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per connectivity package.
